This policy describes what happens to information when you read futureproofpeps.com. It is short because the site does very little.
This site is published by Futureproof 2.0 Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom, which decides how the limited data described below is handled. Questions about this policy go to editor@futureproofpeps.com.
Like any website, this one is served by a web server that records ordinary technical information in its logs: the IP address the request came from, the time, the page requested, the referring page where one was sent, and the browser's user agent string. These logs exist so the site can be operated and abuse investigated. They are not used to build a profile of you.
The site loads Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google's advertising tag. Their purpose here
is measurement of advertising: whether a visit followed an advertisement, and whether the visitor
continued past this page. The tag may set cookies in your browser for that purpose, typically
including _gcl_aw, _gcl_au and related identifiers.
No cookie set here contains your name, your email address or anything you have typed, because there is nothing on this site to type. If you decline cookies in your browser or block them with an extension, the pages still work in full. Nothing on this site is gated behind a cookie.
Google acts as an independent controller for the data collected through its own tags. Their handling of that data is governed by Google's own privacy terms, not by this policy.
If you write to the address above, we hold your message and your email address for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not add correspondents to any list and we do not use the address for anything else.
Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded. Advertising cookies expire on their own schedule, which is set by the provider and is usually measured in months. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive a copy. Write to the address above and we will answer. In practice the answer is usually short, because the site holds almost nothing. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
